Ailing gospel musician, Dennis Mutara, breaks down in tears as he narrates how fellow musician tried to finish him.

Celebrated gospel musician, Andrew Mutara Kamau alias Dennis Mutara, broke down uncontrollably during an interview while explaining his misery for the last six years.

Mutara who disappeared from the limelight for almost six years hit headlines last month after he was involved in a grisly accident near Kenol in Murang’a. The “Kindu Wanii” hitmaker cheated death from the incident which left his vehicle written off.

The Musician suffered a broken limb and breathing problem from the incident. He would later retreat to his parents home in Maragua for homecare. As a result of strong medication, the musician is fatigued and a bit incoherent.

In an interview with UK based YouTuber, Wanjiru Nduati (Shiru Stuart) who hosts Hungura show, Mutara sought to explain why he was inactive in the industry for more than Five years. The host pointed that just a few days before his accident, Mutara had just announced his comeback on his Facebook page.

Mutara stated that the music industry had some elements who were not happy with his star which had shone so bright that they considered to finish him. It took the intelligence of the interviewer to calm him as he broke down uncontrollably.

“Let me tell you, an enemy of a musician is a musician. Just like an enemy of a mechanic is a mechanic. Ask yourself, I used to release new hit songs after every one and half years. It is now six years with no single song. Do you know why?”, posed Mutara.

The emotional musician explained that he had written more than four albums but had not been able to record. He linked his accident to forces who were out to finish him so that he cannot continue singing.

“The plan was that I die. So that I cannot Minister to people. When an enemy wants to destroy you, he uses several means. One of them is to kill you. But I thank God that he saved from the incident. People who saw my vehicle were surprised that I survived “, said Mutara.

His statement comes just a few days after a popular DJ, Kiarie wa Kibicio alias DJ MacDee, who has recently gained popularity due to his moving YouTube content, was allegedly poisoned by unknown person(s). Kiarie was admitted at the Nazareth hospital HDU unit, in Kiambu.

Dennis Mutara has ,however, promised to be back to serve God through songs once he has fully recovered. He opined that was recuperating quite well and was hoping to be back in studio in a few days time.
