Gospel musician Regina ‘Muthoga’ is set to marry her new found Texas lover, Mr Nicholas Ng’ang’a on 25th April 2020 at the ACK Sigona church in Kikuyu constituency, Kiambu county.
The “Anga niwe” hitmaker shot on the national limelight after her controversial performance before the president and other VIPs during the burial of the late Nyeri governor Nderitu Gachagua. Regina was performing on a personal request by late Governor at his deathbed that she performs during his burial.
Her wedding comes at a time when the government has set strict guidelines on how events that attract gatherings should be conducted. The government has banned social gatherings in an attempt to control the spread of Coronavirus with funerals and weddings largely affected.
According to sources privy to information relating to the preparations of the musician’s wedding,the wedding is set to be conducted in strict conformity to the social distancing guidelines as set by the government.
The source told Mkenya News that the event will be private with only a handful of people set to attend. The handful will be the couples family, best couple and members of the clergy.
Among those who will attend is veteran Kameme TV presenter Njogu wa Njoroge who is a personal friend to the couple. Njogu is also set to mcee the event. The few friends who will attend will be limited to less than ten.
The event will also be covered live by Njata TV and Gikuyu TV which is owned by Rev Jeremiah Waweru of The Church of the Lord Thika road. According to the source, Mr Ng’ang’a has paid for the full coverage of the event with adverts set to start running begining 20th April 2020 on the TV.
Regina formally divorced her husband, Bishop Muthoga, an year ago.The Bishop has since marriage another wife, Catherine Muthoga in a wedding that was widely publicized and conducted at the Muthuaini AIPCA church in Nyeri.
