Political firebrand and former Kiambu county Governor, William Kabogo has called president Uhuru Kenyatta to order.
Speaking to Emoo FM, a mediamax owned Radio station, Kabogo accused the head of state of trying con games on his deputy.
He accused Uhuru of letting an Enemy come between him and William Ruto. Kabogo blamed Raila Odinga for the bad blood between the two former political friends.
“Where Raila gets into, things turn bad… if indeed this handshake was to bring peace, why did they not involve Ruto and Kalonzo Musyoka? We would now be enjoying peace,” Kabogo says as quoted by The Star.
Kabogo reminded the president of their political journey with William Ruto before 2017.
“I know where DP and the President started their political union. Uhuru and I drove to Ruto’s Karen home. We sat under a tree for three days negotiating a working relationship…Ruto helped Uhuru to win. Do you think we would have won without Ruto?” Poses Kabogo.
The former Governor who is believed by many to be a possible Kingpin of the region after Uhuru leaves the throne, said that the Mt Kenya region was solidly behind the pact between Uhuru and Ruto.
“We want to make it clear that as people from Mt Kenya, we are not political conmen. We promised in 2013 that we support President Kenyatta for 10 years and Ruto for another 10 years. Our agreement still stands,” he said.
